Walk Away

"When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, not does he tempt anyone but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed." James 1:13-14

No one said Living Life would be simple. As everyone has realized, it is actually really difficult to live our lives the way we want it to be because what we want never really happens.

We find ourselves always in tight situations that cause us pain, stress, and many difficulties. It is during these trials that we complain and our patience is shorten because we don't understand what we have done to deserve such pain or stress. It is at times like these where we look to God and question his ways. It is simple for us to complain about our difficulties and boost our good deeds but blaming someone else really wouldn't benefit us or even solve the problem at hand.

In this verse, The bible explains that when we face trials in our life, it is not God who caused this for us but our own desires that lead to these events. As humans, it is hard to think of the idea that we are imperfect and that something could be our fault. However, if we are all able to reflect and think about the reasons for the conflict, we may all be able to avoid it in the future. By understanding our evil desires, we can walk away from them and focus on God.
